I had been working at the same company for years, quietly putting in effort, learning, and waiting for an opportunity to grow. When the promotion I had prayed for finally came, I was thrilled. I believed it was the answer to my hard work, the reward I had been waiting for.
But the joy didn’t last.
Almost immediately after taking the position, the pressure became overwhelming. Responsibilities multiplied, expectations soared, and I felt stretched in every direction.
