Jubilee Party announces leadership changes following NEC meeting

The Jubilee Party has announced changes to its top leadership after a National Executive Council (NEC) meeting held on Wednesday morning and chaired by party leader, former President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The meeting resolved to strengthen the party’s leadership and organizational structures as Jubilee positions itself for the 2027 General Election, against the backdrop of rising cost of living, economic strain, and growing public dissatisfaction with governance.

In a statement released after the meeting, the party said the reorganization is intended to enhance internal efficiency, restore discipline, and rebuild Jubilee into a structured, policy-driven, and nationally rooted political movement with strong grassroots engagement.

Among the key appointments, Jeremiah Kioni was named Deputy Party Leader in charge of Operations.

He will oversee the strengthening of party structures, ensure compliance with party processes, coordinate operations from the grassroots to the national level, and lead engagement and alliance-building with political and societal stakeholders.

Ole Kenta was appointed Secretary General, with Zack Kinuthia named Deputy Secretary General.

Yassin Noor Haji will serve as National Organizing Secretary, while Vincent Mogaka Kimoki was appointed Party Chairperson. Dan Mwangi was named Executive Director.

The NEC also approved the appointment of Kiembi Gitura as Director of Elections, Peter Kados as Chair of the MCA Caucus, and Saitoti Torome to head the Jubilee Foundation’s Public Policy arm.

The party said the leadership changes reflect a deliberate shift toward rebuilding a disciplined and credible national party capable of offering clear policy alternatives and practical solutions to the challenges facing Kenyans.
