SHOCKING VIDEO of a Completely Drunk Police Officer Recorded Staggering on a Busy Road, Raising Critical Questions on the Mental State of Kenyan Officers! Watch

Shocking Video of Drunk Police Officer in Uniform Sparks Public Outrage

Wednesday, January 21, 2026 — A disturbing video circulating widely on social media has triggered intense debate after showing a police officer allegedly drunk and staggering in public while still wearing full uniform.

In the viral clip, the officer appears visibly intoxicated as he struggles to walk steadily along a busy road. He is seen swaying from side to side, mumbling unclear words, and at times drifting dangerously close to passing vehicles as members of the public watch in shock and disbelief.

The person filming the incident can be heard commenting on the officer’s condition and suggesting that stress may have contributed to his behavior.

The narrator identifies the location as Kendu Bay and says in Swahili, “Hapa ni Kendu Bay, Askari amekunywa, ako na stress,” loosely translating to, “This is Kendu Bay, the officer has been drinking, he is stressed.”

As the footage spread rapidly across various online platforms, it sparked mixed reactions from Kenyans. Many viewers expressed anger and disappointment, saying the incident paints the police service in a bad light and damages public trust.

Others raised serious concerns about public safety, warning that officers who appear intoxicated pose a major risk, especially since they are entrusted with firearms and the responsibility of protecting lives.

Some netizens also showed sympathy, arguing that the video highlights deeper issues within the police force, including work-related stress, poor mental health support, and the pressure officers face in their daily duties.

They called on authorities to look beyond punishment and instead focus on offering counseling, stress management programs, and better welfare systems for officers.

The incident has once again reignited national discussions about discipline, accountability, and mental health within the National Police Service.

Many Kenyans are now urging police leadership and the government to take proactive measures to address substance abuse, stress, and psychological challenges among officers, while ensuring public safety and maintaining professionalism within the force.
